Margie's House
Margie is a wife and mother of three girls who is fighting cancer, two lung diseases, permanent disability and the loss of her home. Please consider making a donation to help Margie keep from losing her home. These are difficult times for all, but we believe in the kindness and generosity of people, and we believe that each and every one of us can find a way to help one another even during these trying times.
Margie and her husband Jim became unemployed recently following a nearly month-long stay by Margie in the hospital with 13 days in intensive care (see Margie's Story at right) and several months of recovery. Because Margie is now disabled and her husband works part-time in order to give her the care she needs, they are unable to continue paying the mortgage note on the house. Margie will be eligible for a small disability payment soon and her medicare will begin in July of 2010, but without the kindness and generosity of others, they will lose their home. Margie's home is at 809 Woodmont Drive in Covington, Louisiana, on the Northshore of Lake Pontchartrain in Greater Metropolitan New Orleans.
It is a one-story home with a brick front and vinyl siding on the back and sides of the house, located right off Hwy 190 and has 1834 square feet of living area.
